The Follicular Phase

Your reproductive cycle is divided up into three phases; the follicular phase, ovulation and the luteal phase.  It is not that important to remember the technical terms but rather to remember that the first phase (follicular) is BEFORE the egg is released, ovulation is the release of the egg and the third phase (luteal) is AFTER the egg is released.  Each phase has its own special task but the focus of the whole process is to release a mature egg ready for fertilization..... to read more...
